12 Days of Christmas - Day 10

On the tenth day of Christmas, WF brings to you ten bridesmaids in purple.

Yesterday, I brought you some beautiful hostesses. Today, it's the ten bridesmaids for the same 20th wedding anniversary. I thought it was a brilliant thing to have bridesmaids even for a 20th anniversary, moreso ten beautiful grown women. It wasn't an easy task choosing a style as I had to make sure they were very modest, flattering for women of fuller figures and also stylish. I opted for a lace and satin peplum pleated dress, a bit unconventional but it worked.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 8

On the eighth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... bridesmaids dresses for a bridal party of eight!

These dresses were inspired by Disney princesses. The bride chose mint and coral as her colour palette. She wanted two mint ones for her MOH and Chief bridesmaid; and six coral ones for the rest of the party. I gathered up three beautiful ladies - Fife, Ayo & Siham for this post, one of them who happens to be one of the bridesmaids - Thanks ladies;) Thanks also to my neighbour's front garden that provided the flowers we used.. lol. We did some indoor and outdoor shooting so I must say that the actual colours are true to the indoor shots :) I love the simplicity and elegance of this dress...

Congrats to the bride Tolu who got married today!

12 Days of Christmas - Day 4

On the fourth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... 4 variations of dresses for a bridal party.

Last year May, I had the privilege of styling an entire bridal party for the first time. It was really exciting for me and I can't believe it's taken this long to share with you. I had to create different styles for the Maid of Honour, Bridesmaids, Flower girls and the Little Bride. It's amazing to see how the different styles turned out even with the same fabric.

The Little Bride: Ivory Lace bodice with nude tulle dress.

The Flower Girls: Nude brown satin dress with ivory lace band and bow tie sash at the back.

The Bridesmaids: Classic Tulip dress with ivory lace bodice and nude brown satin skirt.

The Maid of Honor: Ivory lace bodice with nude brown fishtail skirt and front sash.

Prom Tales 2014: Part 1

Wow! It's hard to believe that it has been that long since my last post *covers face*. There's another new year's resolution that ought to be worked on in this second half of this very fast paced year. It has been an amazing one indeed, extremely hectic but I'm so grateful for it. This also means that I have lots to share with you and hopefully I can keep churning them out more frequently for you to see :)

This prom season has also been an exciting one, I have done a total of 6 dresses with colours ranging from pastels to nudes to brights! I will be sharing them with you in this year's edition of Prom Tales.

First of is Praise who isn't a new face on the blog. ( http://www.wurafola.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/back-in-time-50s.html ) For her year 11 prom, she wanted a mint green dress and was really into a dress she'd seen on Nicole Scherzinger. Together we worked to create her vision. Styled with a very elegant updo bun by Jadoy Hair and a vintage brooch, Praise looked ever so stunning.

I think this will make for a lovely bridesmaid dress. Brides don't worry about being upstaged by your bridesmaids looking glam, they will only make you look better! ;)
