12 Days of Christmas - Day 9

On the ninth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... nine & more hostesses that served at a wedding anniversary celebration.

Back in the summer, I had the privilege of styling the bridesmaids & hostesses for my pastors' 20th year wedding anniversary celebration. The colour theme was purple and lime green which really is a beautiful combination when it's done well. As I already intended to put the bridesmaids in purple, I decided on a monochrome for the hostesses but with a hint of lime green. The result was a polka dot pocket dress with a lime green sash :)

12 Days of Christmas - Day 8

On the eighth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... bridesmaids dresses for a bridal party of eight!

These dresses were inspired by Disney princesses. The bride chose mint and coral as her colour palette. She wanted two mint ones for her MOH and Chief bridesmaid; and six coral ones for the rest of the party. I gathered up three beautiful ladies - Fife, Ayo & Siham for this post, one of them who happens to be one of the bridesmaids - Thanks ladies;) Thanks also to my neighbour's front garden that provided the flowers we used.. lol. We did some indoor and outdoor shooting so I must say that the actual colours are true to the indoor shots :) I love the simplicity and elegance of this dress...

Congrats to the bride Tolu who got married today!

12 Days of Christmas - Day 7

On the seventh day of Christmas, WF brings to you 7 fine details on a lovely number for a wedding guest.

A few months ago, my friend Oyinda asked me to design something stunning for her for a wedding she was attending in one of the most lush places - the South of France. I knew I had to create something textured and different. A combination of lace and quilt is something I haven't seen anyway but it turned out to be a winner. SO here goes the 7 little details that make this dress what it is:
The pretty peach French lace on the bodice
The scalloped lace edge on the front neckline
The scalloped lace edge at the back neckline
The orange quilted fabric for the skirt
The full flounce on the hem
The cute bow at the back
The visible black and gold tooth zipper

Here's Oyinda wearing the dress on 2 different occassions - the wedding and my floral & lace themed birthday.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 6

On the sixth day of Christmas, WF brings to you a 60's inspired cocktail dress.

The style in the 50's and 60's has to be my favorite fashion era. Full skirts, volume and pin up curls are what dreams are made of! The only reason why I watch Mad Men. Here's one of my muses in my interpretation of the 60's. She wore it to a wedding earlier in the year.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 5

On the fifth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... 5 floral and lace dresses.

About 2 weeks ago, I celebrated my 25th birthday in style, hosting a ladies brunch with a few beautiful and inspiring women :) Dress code (as I'm a sucker for themed parties) was florals and laces. I made 2 lace numbers for myself, 2 florals and a lace for my friends and sisters. (#wuwuat25 on Instagram)

The first of my lace numbers: blush pink midi lace dress.

The Second of my lace numbers: ivory lace dress with pale blue underlay.

A Floral smock dress for my sister.

Mint floral body con dress for my friend Janet.

Off shoulder pink lace dress for my sister Gifty

And that's all for the dresses:) Peep some of the little details that made the day very special. Sweet treats table all done by my very gifted sis Doyin.
