Happy New Year from mee! :D

2012 is here!! Woohoo! lool. I'm always excited when a new year begins. It's like a chance to start afresh, new hopes, new goals, new blessings. Starting this blog was actually one of my new year's resolutions, so yay me I'm on track lol .

What better day to start the year than a sunday?! What better day to wear sparkly than new years's day?! :D I wore this ensemble to church. I made this top in December'10 for a friend's grandma's 70th bday party. I would've preferred to wear brand new clothes on NYD but I had no time to make something. Paired the top with a black fitted skirt I bought ages ago.

I switched it up later in the evening for a friend's new year's day house party: From fitted to a flared leather skirt. (By this time, I had lost access to a dslr so excuse the poor quality of the pics). I had a nice time loool(private joke) and it was good to see faces I hadn't seen in a while.

Also changed my lipstick from RubyWoo to Media (MAC); both recent bday gifts from a MUA friend :)

Belated Merry Christmas

I had a lovely christmas; house hopping with friends and family and I hope u did too :) As usual, I went for the christmas service at church and I made an outfit for myself.

I absolutely love the crochet lace detail. I was drawn to it when I saw it at the shops and I felt it would really complement the green fabric.

I also made an outfit for my sister who has been my amazing sole hairstylist for at least 6 years now. Look out for her(Jadoy!) :D I have made a lot of dresses but this was my very first inseam pocket dress. I love the outcome

 Sisterly love ♥

Memoirs of an aspiring fashion designer...

Hi everyone :)

My name's Wura aka WuraFola aka WuraF aka WF aka wuwu(unofficial) lol. I'm 22 from London and I love fashion.. This is my first blog ever!!! I'm really excited to share some of my creations with you and I hope u like them..

I picked up sewing in Summer'10 and it's been uphill from there(Thank God).. I was blessed to have a tailor who kindly let me shadow him for a few weeks.. I learnt the basics of freehand sewing from him and built on the knowledge in practice from then on..

For the past year, I've been making clothes; some are my original designs and others are just a recreation of already made designs.. It's been an amazing ride and I'm ever so grateful. Feel free to ask more questions :)
