12 Days of Christmas - Day 8

On the eighth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... bridesmaids dresses for a bridal party of eight!

These dresses were inspired by Disney princesses. The bride chose mint and coral as her colour palette. She wanted two mint ones for her MOH and Chief bridesmaid; and six coral ones for the rest of the party. I gathered up three beautiful ladies - Fife, Ayo & Siham for this post, one of them who happens to be one of the bridesmaids - Thanks ladies;) Thanks also to my neighbour's front garden that provided the flowers we used.. lol. We did some indoor and outdoor shooting so I must say that the actual colours are true to the indoor shots :) I love the simplicity and elegance of this dress...

Congrats to the bride Tolu who got married today!
Ho ho ho Merry Christmas!

Happy 2013/Blogiversary

Happy New Year lovely readers!! :D We made it to 2013! Woohoo! Thank God! I'm soo excited for all this year has to offer. I've had two fulfilling years of making dresses and you know what they say about the 3rd time ;) Today also marks my 1st year of blogging! It's been a lovely experience sharing my creations with you guys. Special thanks to my subscribers, everyone who takes time to leave a comment on here and everyone who shares the link on facebook & twitter. I know you all have your new year's resolutions; one of mine is to give more! Woop! So look out for the giveaway at the end of this post.

Today, I'm sharing another guipure lace number featuring my dear friend Dami. A few things about Dami: She's a caring, ambitious and passionate lady. A young mummy with a very big heart. She can be quite talkative too (lol) but she knows how to use it when it matters. She made my last bday in december very special when she showed up in the morning and treated me to lunch at an amazing mexican restaurant. I'm now addicted to burritos lool.

So Dami planned a very lush bday dinner for her boyfriend. It was going to be on a boat and she wanted it to be a classy affair. She asked me to make her a coral dress and left the rest to me. I went fabric shopping and found the prettiest lace; it was quite dear I must say, but I knew it'd be worth it. She agreed to it and loved the finished dress :) Here's how our little photo shoot went:

I absolutely love this dress and I hope you do too :) Tell me what you like the most about this dress and you could win a dress for yourself :)

Au revoir ma belles (another NYR is to learn more french lol)

The Most wonderful time of the year :D

Christmas day was soo amazing! I was reminded of why it's my favourite time of the year. No, not just because of the food but because of the love and joy shared with my wonderful family & friends. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and each christmas spent together is another memory I'll cherish forever. Church in the am, 5 houses, surprise visits, crap gifts (lool it's the thought that counts!!), apple pie & dance competitions all made the day what it was. I'm still listening to Justin Bieber's christmas album, yes i'm a belieber! :D

Green velvet + guipure lace was the theme for mine & my sister's outfits. I'm a big fan of lace but I've recently fallen so in love with guipure.

For me, it was a green fitted velvet dress & a black lace crop top to go over it.

I can't wait to wear this top again, but with a yellow dress!!

I made a green velvet dress for my sister with some lace detailing, this dress was loved by many.

My brother & his wife had a little couple swag going on which I thought was quite cool!

Ok so it's the season of giving and I'm feeling generous. Can anyone spot another dress in my previous posts which has the same lace detail on it as the one in the green dress in this post? A skater skirt is up for grabs :)

From me & mine to yours, may the rest of your days this year be merry & bright.
Till Next Post
