12 Days of Christmas - Day 10

On the tenth day of Christmas, WF brings to you ten bridesmaids in purple.

Yesterday, I brought you some beautiful hostesses. Today, it's the ten bridesmaids for the same 20th wedding anniversary. I thought it was a brilliant thing to have bridesmaids even for a 20th anniversary, moreso ten beautiful grown women. It wasn't an easy task choosing a style as I had to make sure they were very modest, flattering for women of fuller figures and also stylish. I opted for a lace and satin peplum pleated dress, a bit unconventional but it worked.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 7

On the seventh day of Christmas, WF brings to you 7 fine details on a lovely number for a wedding guest.

A few months ago, my friend Oyinda asked me to design something stunning for her for a wedding she was attending in one of the most lush places - the South of France. I knew I had to create something textured and different. A combination of lace and quilt is something I haven't seen anyway but it turned out to be a winner. SO here goes the 7 little details that make this dress what it is:
The pretty peach French lace on the bodice
The scalloped lace edge on the front neckline
The scalloped lace edge at the back neckline
The orange quilted fabric for the skirt
The full flounce on the hem
The cute bow at the back
The visible black and gold tooth zipper

Here's Oyinda wearing the dress on 2 different occassions - the wedding and my floral & lace themed birthday.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 5

On the fifth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... 5 floral and lace dresses.

About 2 weeks ago, I celebrated my 25th birthday in style, hosting a ladies brunch with a few beautiful and inspiring women :) Dress code (as I'm a sucker for themed parties) was florals and laces. I made 2 lace numbers for myself, 2 florals and a lace for my friends and sisters. (#wuwuat25 on Instagram)

The first of my lace numbers: blush pink midi lace dress.

The Second of my lace numbers: ivory lace dress with pale blue underlay.

A Floral smock dress for my sister.

Mint floral body con dress for my friend Janet.

Off shoulder pink lace dress for my sister Gifty

And that's all for the dresses:) Peep some of the little details that made the day very special. Sweet treats table all done by my very gifted sis Doyin.

12 Days of Christmas - Day 4

On the fourth day of Christmas, WF brings to you... 4 variations of dresses for a bridal party.

Last year May, I had the privilege of styling an entire bridal party for the first time. It was really exciting for me and I can't believe it's taken this long to share with you. I had to create different styles for the Maid of Honour, Bridesmaids, Flower girls and the Little Bride. It's amazing to see how the different styles turned out even with the same fabric.

The Little Bride: Ivory Lace bodice with nude tulle dress.

The Flower Girls: Nude brown satin dress with ivory lace band and bow tie sash at the back.

The Bridesmaids: Classic Tulip dress with ivory lace bodice and nude brown satin skirt.

The Maid of Honor: Ivory lace bodice with nude brown fishtail skirt and front sash.
